Designed by the esteemed architect Richard Mogas, the house seamlessly blends with the Hill Country landscape and heritage. The construction was expertly executed by skilled custom homebuilder Al Henke. The limestone walls and cool stone floors, embedded with fossils millions of years old, are particularly enchanting. One of the most appealing aspects of living here is the privacy; the house is hidden from the road, and the main bedrooms are set apart and sound-insulated from each other and the rest of the living spaces. We anticipated the possibility of future expansion. While the main house currently features three bedrooms, two baths, and 2,280 square feet, we have a septic permit for 2,600 square feet and have already installed the plumbing infrastructure for an apartment where the shop and one bay of the carport are now. Weve enjoyed building fires in the backyard, swinging in the swing, lying in the hammock in the woods out front, taking walks in the neighborhood, and hiking and swimming at the River Oaks Homeowners Park on the Guadalupe. The land remains mostly in its natural state, with native trees and plants showcasing a variety of colors and blooms throughout the seasons.
